Deck YB3221 (Marketing: SEO, SEM & Social Media, 79 cards) is the fastest route through the working vocabulary of digital marketing — the terms that come up in an agency interview, a Google Ads certification, or a first conversation with a client. It is well built, but it hides an eleven-card block the title does not advertise, and three of its backs have aged badly.

The undeclared block: cards 57-67

Eleven consecutive cards leave digital entirely — marketing mix, segmentation, targeting, positioning, brand awareness, CTA, customer lifetime value, buyer persona, lead generation, lead nurturing, churn rate. That is STP and marketing fundamentals, not SEO or social: study them as a separate mini-deck on a different day. Mixing them with CPC and robots.txt is what makes this deck feel harder than it is.

Tip 1 — update three backs before your first session. Google My Business became Google Business Profile in November 2021. Bounce rate is given the Universal Analytics definition (single-page sessions); GA4, the only version live since July 2023, defines it as the inverse of engagement rate. And domain authority is presented as a neutral metric — it is Moz’s proprietary 1-100 score and Google does not use it. Those three are exactly what an interviewer probes.

Tip 2 — two pairs are indistinguishable as written. Card 2 (4 Ps of marketing) and card 57 (Marketing mix) have the same answer: suspend one. CPA and CAC get near-identical backs, so add the real split yourself — CPA is the cost of one campaign action, CAC is total sales plus marketing spend divided by new customers. Same for the organic/paid traffic vs organic/paid reach quartet: traffic means visits to your site, reach means unique people who saw a post.

Tip 3 — sharpen the robots.txt card. It says the file tells crawlers which pages not to access. It blocks crawling, not indexing: a disallowed URL can still appear in results through external links. Add “use a noindex meta tag to keep a page out of the index” to the back. It is the classic trap question.

Eight fronts here already appear in deck NE9292 — B2B and B2C marketing, content, influencer and viral marketing, brand awareness, market segmentation, marketing mix. If you have finished that one, suspend the duplicates and start with the SEO block instead: Master Marketing: Digital & Traditional in 137 Flashcards.
