Deck CA0992 — USMLE Step 2 CK: Clinical Knowledge holds 95 cards, and the first thing to notice is that "Clinical Knowledge" is the exam's name, not the deck's content. Card 15 lists the eight areas Step 2 CK tests — internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, preventive medicine, psychiatry, neurology, surgery and other areas of supervised patient care — and card 16 says the questions demand a diagnosis, a prognosis, a mechanism or a next step in care. Then not a single card asks one. What you actually get is exam literacy plus a clinical glossary. Both are worth a weekend, as long as you know that's what you bought.

What you'll actually master
FSMB and NBME sponsorship, the 1992 launch and the 1999 move to computer-based testing, Prometric centers, the 15-minute tutorial that converts into break time, cut-score review every four years, Step 3's two non-consecutive days and its 200 passing score, COMLEX-USA, first-time pass rates (98–99% US MD, 98% US DO, 88–91% IMG), ECFMG, NRMP, ERAS, LCME, COCA, InCUS, the World Directory of Medical Schools — plus the glossary block: pathophysiology, clinical reasoning, evidence-based medicine, clinical vignette, vital signs, inspection–palpation–percussion–auscultation, contraindication, informed consent, patient safety, quality improvement, clerkship, supervised versus unsupervised practice.
Don't run it beside the other two USMLE decks
39 of these 95 fronts already appear in OT5810 and BO6126: the three-step structure, the sponsors, the score range, the pass/fail switch, the pass rates, even the "can AI pass the USMLE" card. Pick whichever deck you opened first, then suspend those 39 duplicates here and drill the ~56 that are genuinely new — essentially cards 37 to 65, the specialty definitions and the clinical glossary.
Date-stamp every number
Cut scores and fees move, and this deck is a snapshot. Card 10 says 218 as of July 2025, card 11 says 214 for July 2022–June 2025, card 23 gives a US$680 fee, cards 32–34 quote 2020–2021 pass rates, card 95 says "more than 100,000" takers as of 2020. Rewrite each front so it carries its own date, and re-check the live figure on usmle.org before you repeat one in an interview.
Four cards to fix tonight
Card 80 ("Can you void a USMLE exam?") answers "policies vary; consult current USMLE guidelines" — that is not a flashcard, delete it or write the real policy. Cards 13 and 14 are the same Prometric card twice. Cards 6 and 7 split "nine hours" from "how the nine hours divide", and cards 35 and 66 both say Step 2 CK matters more since Step 1 went pass/fail — keep one of each pair. Four cards (21, 22, 90, 91) sit on Step 2 CS, gone since January 2021: keep 21 as history, suspend the rest.
Then write the half that's missing
Use card 15 as a syllabus. For each of the eight tested areas, write five vignette cards in the exam's own format: a two-line presentation on the front, the single best next step on the back. The deck defines clinical vignette on card 51 without ever showing you one — that gap is your study plan.
