If you learn Python in Spanish, or teach it to Spanish speakers, deck TB6286 – Python: Funciones integradas is the Spanish edition of our Python built-in functions study guide. Same 77 cards, function names in English (as in code), every explanation in Spanish. Here is what changes when you study it in Spanish.

Eight cards from the deck
| Front | Back |
|---|---|
| Three modes for compile() | 'exec' (sentencias), 'eval' (expresión única), 'single' (sentencia interactiva única) |
| Is eval() safe with user input? | No: ejecuta código arbitrario y puede dar lugar a vulnerabilidades de seguridad |
| Valid range for chr() | De 0 a 1.114.111 (0x10FFFF en base 16) |
What you'll memorize
Números: abs, divmod, pow, round, sum, min, max, bin, oct, hex, int, float, complex. Iteración: iter, next, enumerate, zip, map, filter, reversed, sorted, range, len, any, all. Tipos: bool, str, list, tuple, dict, set, frozenset, bytes, bytearray. Introspección: type, isinstance, issubclass, callable, id, hash, dir, vars, globals, locals, getattr, setattr, hasattr, delattr, help. Ejecución: eval, exec, compile, breakpoint. Cadenas y E/S: chr, ord, ascii, repr, format, print, input, open. Clases: super, @classmethod, @staticmethod, @property.
Learn the Spanish vocabulary as terms, not as words
The backs use standard Spanish technical vocabulary. Make a mini-glossary card for each term you'll meet in documentation:
- cadena = string, iterable stays iterable, invocable = callable, depurador = debugger
- ámbito = scope, espacio de nombres = namespace, tabla de símbolos = symbol table
- veracidad = truthiness, flujo de texto = text stream, punto flotante = floating point
- False friend: sentencia (card 70) means statement, not sentence. 'exec' compiles sentencias, 'eval' a single expresión.
And watch card 69: Spanish writes 1.114.111 with dots as thousand separators. In Python, 1.114 is a float; write 1_114_111 or 0x10FFFF in code.
Clean up the deck before session one
- Casing: fronts are sentence-cased (Abs(), Isinstance(), Zip()). Python is case-sensitive; retype them in lowercase.
- Mixed languages: the eleven gotcha cards (17, 36, 66, 69-77) keep English fronts. Translate them (¿Es seguro eval() con datos del usuario?) so each review stays in one language.
- Card 74, Hasattr() actually, lost the start of its question: rewrite it as ¿Qué hace hasattr() internamente?
- Add round(): redondeo bancario,
round(2.5) == 2, because halves go to the nearest even number. Also missing: aiter(), anext(), memoryview(), object(), slice().
Study by families (chr/ord, getattr/setattr/hasattr/delattr, lazy iterators map/filter/zip) rather than A to Z, exactly as in the English guide.
