Deck XM6809, HTML: Tags & Attribute, is the German edition of our HTML Tags & Attributes deck. It has the same 99 cards: English fronts, German backs. The markup itself never changes (<footer> is <footer> in Berlin too). What you learn on top is the vocabulary German developers, trainers and IHK exam papers use to describe it: Überschrift, Fußzeile, Schaltfläche, Zeichenkodierung.

Was die 99 Karten abdecken

Document structure: <head>, <title>, <body>, <meta>, charset (Zeichenkodierung), <link>, rel, <script>, <noscript>. Semantic layout: <header>, <nav>, <section>, <article>, <aside> (Seitenleiste), <footer> (Fußzeile), <search>, <div>, <span>. Text: <strong>/<b> (fett), <em>/<i> (kursiv), <u>, <mark>, <small> (Kleingedrucktes), <del>, <ins>, (tiefgestellt), (hochgestellt), <code>, <pre>, <blockquote>, <q>, <abbr>, <cite>, <dfn>, <kbd>, <samp>, <var>, <time>. Media and widgets: <img>, src, alt, <audio>, <video>, <canvas>, <iframe>, <embed>, <details> (aufklappbares Widget), <progress>, <output>, <datalist>. Forms: <input> text/password/checkbox/radio/submit, <textarea>, <select>, <option>, <button>, <label>, <fieldset>, <legend>, action, placeholder, required, disabled. Tables: <tr>, <td>, <th>, <thead>, <tbody>, <tfoot>, colspan, rowspan. Global attributes: href, target, class, id, style.

Tips for the German edition

Split the two Beschriftung cards and the Kopf/Fuß family. Card 74 (<label>) and card 76 (<legend>) both answer Definiert eine Beschriftung für…; only the end tells them apart (ein <input> vs ein <fieldset>). Learn them as a pair: one label per field, one caption per group. The same goes for Kopf: <header> (einleitender Inhalt), <h1> (Überschrift), <th> (Kopfzelle) and <thead> (Kopfbereich) are four different elements. Mirror that with Fußzeile (<footer>) vs Fußbereich (<tfoot>). Put the exact tag in the hint of each back.

Accept the Denglisch, but know both words. The backs keep Checkbox, Radiobutton, Dropdown-Liste, Container and Stylesheet, which is how German teams actually talk. But a button is a Schaltfläche on cards 69 and 73, and older textbooks write Kontrollkästchen and Optionsfeld. Add those as alternates so exam wording doesn't throw you.

Repair a few fronts. Fourteen fronts end in a dangling "for" (<nav> tag for). Read them as "What is <nav> for?" Attribute fronts are sentence-cased (Href attribute, Colspan attribute), but HTML attributes are lowercase: href, colspan. Card 13 names src as the required attribute of <img>. Add alt, which the standard expects on almost every image.

For styling in German, continue with CSS in German.
