Car brands are a geography quiz in disguise. Once you know that Bavaria gave us BMW, Stuttgart gave us Porsche and Mercedes, and Modena gave us Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maserati, the badges stop being random logos and start being a map. Deck HR9287 — Car Brands & Models on Flip It drills that map in 60 cards.

What is actually in the deck
Despite the title, models barely appear — only the Corolla and the Model T get a card each. Forty-four of the 60 cards ask a single question: what country is this brand from? The remaining sixteen cover logos, founders and corporate structure. Concretely, you will end up knowing:
- Italy — Ferrari, Lamborghini, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Pagani, Fiat, Lancia
- Germany — Porsche, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen
- United Kingdom — Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin, Jaguar, Lotus, McLaren
- France — Bugatti, Peugeot, Renault, Citroën
- Japan — Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Subaru, Lexus
- South Korea — Hyundai, Kia, Genesis
- Sweden — Volvo, Koenigsegg, Saab
- United States — Tesla, Ford, Chevrolet, Cadillac, Dodge, Jeep, Lincoln, Rivian, Lucid
- Badges and founders — the Cavallino Rampante, the Lamborghini bull, the Stuttgart horse, the Spirit of Ecstasy, the four Auto Union rings (Audi, DKW, Horch, Wanderer), Enzo Ferrari 1939, Ferruccio Lamborghini 1963, Ferdinand Porsche 1931
- Luxury divisions — Lexus for Toyota, Acura for Honda, Infiniti for Nissan, Genesis for Hyundai

Three things to fix before you drill
Shuffle first — the order gives away the answers. Cards 1 to 44 are grouped country by country: seven Germans in a row, six Britons in a row, nine Americans in a row. Review them in deck order and you are memorising positions, not brands. Shuffle before the very first pass.
Separate origin from ownership. The deck is inconsistent about it: it tells you Chevrolet and Cadillac belong to General Motors, Dodge and Jeep to Stellantis, Lincoln to Ford — but stays silent on Jaguar (Tata Motors since 2008), Volvo Cars and Lotus (Geely), Rolls-Royce (BMW since 2003) and Bentley (Volkswagen). Add the current owner to those backs yourself; that is the question quizzes actually ask.
Card 60 is out of date. "Volkswagen Group owns Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche and Audi" stopped being true in November 2021, when Bugatti moved into the Bugatti Rimac joint venture (55% Rimac, 45% Porsche). Same caution on the Model T card: it was the first car built on a moving assembly line, while the 1901 Oldsmobile Curved Dash is usually credited as the first mass-produced car.
